Electronic Trading Solution Launched
United Aftermarket Network, has launched a new G-Net electronic trading initiative through PACT, enabling motor factor members to trade more efficiently with approved suppliers.
G-Net directly improves a motor factor’s customer service with independent garages, as it automates many key processes with suppliers, reducing internal operational costs and allowing members to focus on growing business with independent garages.
Fast Parts Wales, based in Newport, has been using electronic trading for some time and Director, Nathan Travis, said: “We’re a motor factor that holds a vast amount of stock but should we get caught out, with G-Net, we make sure we never lose a sale as we can check stock availability and place orders with our suppliers while the garage is on the phone.”
UAN’s G-Net automates procedures such as stock enquiries and ordering, the exchange of order acknowledgements, dispatch notes and invoices, which are proven to significantly improve internal processes for a motor factor and also help eradicate the supply of incorrect parts as the opportunity for human error is all but removed.
Peter Hollowood of PACT, the electronic trading initiative between eparts and TecCom said: “Since the introduction of G-Net, UAN members have continued to increase their electronic trading with approved suppliers, which is having a positive effect on the entire supply chain.
“We believe electronic trading is changing the way the automotive aftermarket does business and significantly improves the quality of service a motor factor can provide to customers.”
PACT can connect single or multi-branch motor factor operations using any business system to the UK’s leading component suppliers. For more information please visit www.pactenabled.co.uk
