Leading automotive aftermarket buying group, United Aftermarket Network, is now distributing quarterly rebate payments to its members as part of its brand new centrally distributed rebates programme.
The first quarter payments were the first major milestone for the scheme administered by the newly created UAN Rebates & Marketing Ltd. The new administrative agent was created at the start of 2011 and, following more than 18 months of planning, gives UAN’s 140 distributor members rebates paid by cheque or BACS at regular and guaranteed quarterly intervals.
Andrew Dickinson, managing director, UAN, explained: “It’s great news to announce that our first round of quarterly rebates in our new centralised system have been made ahead of schedule. The creation of this centralised infrastructure for rebate collections and payments is one of the most important initiatives ever launched by UAN, with the sole purpose of supporting a distributor’s core business.
“Indeed, being rewarded for their parts purchases with a single payment allows members to make further direct investment back into their own businesses, helping to encourage further growth and improved profitability.”
One of the other key advantages to distributors is the knowledge that they will receive all their rebates each quarter without fail, meaning an end for UAN distributors chasing individual suppliers directly for rebate payments.
The new scheme will also result in less administrative work for distributors and suppliers as collections and payments are managed by UAN.
“UAN is once again at the industry forefront by administering the payment of rebates to its distributors on a quarterly basis and at no extra cost to the supplier or distributor.
“It is another example of our innovative approach designed to help our members grow,” added Dickinson.
