Universal Components has announced plans to integrate European Truck and Trailer from 1 August 2009.

From this date all orders will be transacted through Universal Components allowing customers to place just the one order for all Universal or associated branded products.

All Universal brands are managed by separate warehouse teams who specialise in the picking and packing of various lines including body panels offered by European Truck & Trailer.

The integration will generate additional pick notes within the business, so to keep paperwork to the minimum Universal will also move to daily consolidation of invoices. This will also minimise the impact to the environment and make ordering from Universal quicker and easier. The existing European Truck & Trailer sales ledger will be run down and payments must continue to be made in the usual manner for invoices received up to and including 31st July 2009. All back orders will be transferred on the 31st July unless customers advise Universal differently.

Also, the 0800 -free fax line is to discontinue, due to the low traffic of faxes into Universal and high charges associated with this service. From 1st August 2009 please redirect all faxes to - 0114 261 1155

Plans ahead for Electronic Invoicing:

To further help the environment and to streamline its services even more, Universal also plans a move towards electronic invoicing by the end of the year. Universal will discuss this with all customers over the coming months and keep thrm updated on the progress of this initiative and work closely with all to ensure a smooth transition for both companies when applied.
