UKB Training to spark your interest
UK Batteries, the largest independent distributor of batteries in the UK aftermarket, is about to launch a novel training DVD that will present essential product information and skills to motor factor staff in a style that has never been seen before in the aftermarket.
“Motor factors often have a high turnover of staff so we decided to produce a unique training DVD that is engaging and makes it easy for business owners to give their counter staff basic battery product training so they feel comfortable from the outset,” Neil Warren, UK Batteries’ marketing and communications director, explained. ACDelco adds to team
Having recently announced positive performance figures for 2009, ACDelco is continuing to adopt a bullish stance with the creation of a number of new positions within its UK aftermarket operation.
Bolstering the company’s sales and customer service team is District Manager,Customer Service, Natasha Brown; assuming the role of Finance Assistant is Sushila Parmar; taking up the position of Logistics Supervisor is Ben Austin, whilst Michelle Fontaine-Geary is charged with overseeing the Aftermarket Operation’s OTC, Warranty service. FIGIEFA calls for 'future-proof' BER
On 21st December, the European Commission released the draft Regulation and Guidelines that are to follow the expiry of the Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Regulation 1400,2002 and provide the future competition legislative framework for the automotive sector.
FIGIEFA concurs with the overall analysis of the Commission that the repair and maintenance market is still prone to competition problems. FIGIEFA therefore welcomes the Commission’s approach to combine a sector-specific Block Exemption Regulation (BER) with sector-specific Guidelines for the aftermarket, in particular with regards to access to spare parts, technical information and restrictive or abusive warranty terms.
