Distributors urged to push gas analysers
UAN distributors are being encouraged by approved suppliers Actia Muller and V-Tech to push the sale of gas analysers following new requirements from VOSA for all MoT stations in the UK to have a new MoT Emissions Analyser in place by the end of 2008.
V-Tech estimates that up to 8000 MoT stations are still to meet the requirement, which means a substantial opportunity for UAN members. V-Tech says that factors do not have to purchase demo stock, deliver or install the unit and has produced a process for which to adhere to. Read More.. News
Garage leaflet published
UAN has produced a garage leaflet aimed at highlighting the availability of equipment and diagnostics products through its membership.
Distributors will receive a copy of the leaflet and order form this week and should fax back the form stating how many free copies they would like to receive. The A5 sized, four page leaflet is incredibly easy to use and simply highlights to garages the brands and products available to them including: Karcher, Actia Muller, V-Tech, Maywood Garage Equipment and, Jaltest CV diagnostics. European Exhaust & Catalyst (EEC) has launched a new all-encompassing product catalogue comprising catalytic converters, diesel particulate filters, exhaust parts, lambda sensors, fitting kits and accessories.

Extra recycling incentive from UK Batteries
UK Batteries has further increased its environmental commitment by unveiling bespoke ‘scrap pads’ that it is issuing to motor factors to help take the headache out of disposing of their scrap battery units.
While interest in recycling batteries is growing, the reality is that it is a complicated process and the need to effectively manage the paperwork that accompanies each scrap battery consignment often puts businesses off.
