Jon Bailey becomes Manbat sales director

Manbat has appointed Jon Bailey as sales director.



Bailey has been in the battery business all of his working life, leaving school in 1980 to work in a small auto electrical battery distribution business in south Manchester.

IAAF puts team in place

As the pace of the IAAF's progress continues to escalate, the new personnel structure throughout the IAAF has now been put in place.



Tony Sackett, IAAF's President explained: "It was important to make sure we had the right people on board and I'm delighted that everything we wanted has fallen into place so well."

Scrappage scheme ends

The government's scrappage scheme, which has taken more than 400,000 vehicles viable for service and repair out of the market, has ended.

The scheme was designed to deliver a boost to the motor industry, offering a £2,000 grant to scrap an old car in exchange for a new one.

NGK sparks McLaren in F1 2010

NGK Spark Plugs has announced that it is to be the technical partner and official supplier of spark plugs to the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 Racing Team in the 2010 season.
