SMMT's Transport News Brief has heard that some operators thought that Transport for London (TFL) had dropped its policy of a 28-day grace period after a vehicle was first spotted in the LEZ. SMMT contacted TFL and the response was: 'TfL's policy of issuing only warning letters to operators of non-compliant vehicles the first time they are seen within the Low Emission Zone will be in place throughout the life of the scheme.
