Monks and Wagner in at UAN
UAN has appointed Brad Monks as retail business development manager and Richard Wagner as Product Manager.

Members benefit from Wipertechnik range review
Wipertechnik has extended it's range to 262 part numbers, following a review of it's car and light commercial wiper blades offering.

Delphi is acquired
Delphi Holdings LLP has announced that it had completed the acquisition of substantially all of Delphi Corporation's global core businesses as part of the consummation of the Delphi Corporation Modified Plan of Reorganization.

The central fund supported by 36 approved suppliers enables distributors to realise their marketing ambitions and requirements and communicate more effectively with garages on a number of levels. New POS and catalogue for Lucas batteries
As the sole supplier of the Lucas brand of batteries throughout the UK and Eire, Manbat has produced a broad range of point-of-sales (POS) material to inform the trade and public alike to the depth of the range and the many practical applications that the products are compatible with.
The material starts with a range of 11 separate A4 flyers, four of which cover the various products serving the Automotive sector, three address the Leisure and Marine sectors with four further individual flyers to cater for the CV, Motorcycle, Golf and Mobility sectors. Manbat, one of the UK's largest battery distributors, has been acquired by Eco-Bat Technologies Limited.
Steve Sheppard will continue as managing director of Manbat Limited and the business style and strategy of the company will remain unchanged. TTC to distribute LuK CV clutch
LuK has announced that Truck and Trailer Components (TTC) will share distribution of its product to key customers.
LuK said the agreement was made following a review of its distribution costs, which have escalated due to the rising cost of fuel and weight of its CV products in the past few years. Mafco offers Trico to UAN members
In addition to its already extensive range of Mafco branded wiper blades, the company has become a distributor of Trico wiper blades to UAN.

Delphi breaks new ground with UAN distributors
Delphi has brought to a close a series of meetings with UAN distributors, which it hopes will continue to build on the growing relationship between the supplier and group.
More than 25 distributors attended the three events in either West Yorkshire, Basingstoke and at the company's headquarters in Warwickshire with a view to discussing in greater detail the improved agreement from the company to distributors and, its air-conditioning, vehicle electronics and diagnostics programmes. Delphi customer sales manager, Chris Haw, said: "We have hit new highs with UAN distributors in recent months and by talking and working with distributors, our aim is to develop this relationship even further. Scrappage scheme extendedThe Government today announced a £100M increase to the vehicle scrappage scheme to build on the success of the scheme in boosting consumer demand. The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills said that Industry figures have reflected the positive impacts of the scheme both within and beyond the automotive sector, with manufacturing benefiting and the whole supply chain, from plastics and steel, to individual component manufacturers receiving a boost.
